Race Equality at Cambridge

Join us for an informal networking dinner at Selwyn College to make connections with colleagues of diverse racial backgrounds and discuss issues surrounding racial equality.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen Toope will open the event and the University Race Equality and Inclusion Champions, Dr Mónica Moreno Figueroa and Dr Kamal Munir, will talk about everyday racism at the University, the institution’s journey towards the submission for the Race Equality Charter award, and what comes next.

The Co-Chairs of the recently established BAME Staff Network, Kusam Leal and Hawa Sydique will share the Network’s plans for the year ahead.

The dinner is open to all University staff; BAME and White alike. University members who self-identify as BAME or those of religious minority backgrounds are particularly welcome to attend.

Buffet Dinner cost: £25 (including beverages)
