Pan-Africanism: A History

 

Professor Hakim Adi (Professor of the History of Africa and the African Diaspora at the University of Chichester)

In this session, Professor Adi will discuss the historical development of Pan-Africanism – one of the most significant movements in the history of Africa and its Diaspora – from its early inception to the present day. His talk will also touch on Communism and its interaction with the global struggle for black emancipation.
